I am Blake. I am excited you are stopping by and peeking into the window of our world. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself and leave a thought, gripe, opinion, or complaint.

A bit about me: I am a husband of God's perfect choice for me. I am a dad to 3 amazing boys that are gifts from our Creator. I am a son to parents who have taught me more than I know. IF I can be the gift to these people that they are to me, I will be satisfied.

I have traveled to 4 continents, 20 countries, and have seen everything from the Arctic Ocean to the North Sea; from the Polynesians of Hawaii to the villages of the Sukuma tribe on the shores of Lake Victoria in Tanzania. My favorite place remains my home state of Alabama.

I have been called a lot of negative things that I'm sure the blog will get into, but the title I will trade for all the others is Neged.

At first glance it may seem that I left out the issue of faith. However, I absolutely did include my faith. It is my belief that I can't be anything on the list to the best of my potential without being a follower of Jesus... sometimes unorthodox and even irreverent, but a follower just the same.

I hope you hang around and see how life looks through our eyes. It isn't always neat, pretty, or fun, but being negeds is always good and it's always where I want to be.

A little about me:

I am a Myer's Briggs INFJ (like the rarest personality type...that's okay, it's cool to be a weirdo), an emotional and sensing creative. A stay-at-home mom to 3 crazy boys, and a home-maker by function and passion, a dreamer, work-a-holic and a strong-silent type. I love to be productive and decorate our little world.

Born and raised in a small town in the south, I love our state and community, but don't always line up with the southern-belles, redneck girls, Bible belt Sunday-besters, femi-Nazis, soccer moms, or socialites. I'm a little more post-modern, skeptical, simple and complex for all those labels. My passion is my marriage and my family, being creative, and working with my hands. While I don't (nor would I want to) have the resume Hubby has, I have the depth of the ocean in my heart, and love nothing more than creating beauty in the world he conquers (that's not to say that I don't set a few fires or shoot a few guns myself).

Blake and I have been married for 10+ years (at least 7 or 8 really good ones). We have been tested with fire and stuck together as best friends. Only our maker and myself can get on my nerves, warm me up, set me free, run me in the ground, or up a mountain the way he does. And that's just a taste of what makes us Negeds.
